How to avoid "Driveway Ownage"
Some of you might remember this video taken a while back by none other then Spunkyfresh member Kevin Akahoshi after he helped me install my Ksport coilovers.

A couple years later and I still have never raised the ride height on the car. In fact I even lowered the rear a couple days after that video. I recently had to park my car in a garage that had a steep driveway. It was more like a curb that's slightly rounded then an actual driveway. Since my front lip has roughly 1.5 inches of clearance at its lowest point the bumper needed to come off before I could attempt driving up the driveway. The frame of my car sits 1.5-2 inches off the ground as well so the assistance of 2x4's would be needed, but since I didn't have enough 2x4's a few bricks did the trick :). The pics can be viewed down below. Keeping it "Spunkyfresh" on the daily.

Los Angeles Autoshow 2010
The LA Autoshow is an event which, in my opinion, should be visited in moderation. I feel this way, because if one were to visit the Autoshow every year, it would seem like you were revisiting the same thing over and over again. The last visit for me was way back when I was in junior high, so making it out to this year's show was definite refresher. I must say that I was quite impressed with what the auto companies chose for their displays. They have come a long way from what I could last recall. Companies such as Lexus and Honda featured track ready setups for platforms such as the all new CR-Z and even a GS430 right in middle of their showcase. Even though 95% of the people who purchase these cars would never do such a thing to their own vehicle, it was nice to inform the public of the true potential of these machines. Toyota won my vote though, debuting a stretched out Sienna known as "The Swagger Wagon".

Quality Control
Guess who's back and packing some heat?! Our very own member Ken recently mounted his Brand New wheels and there was no question that we had to shoot his car immediately after he torqued down his last lugnut.
Ken's Civic Si has been treated with only the finest parts since the day it rolled off the dealership lot. This sporty saloon will get you from point A to point B in style and fairly quickly too. Some things to notice are his Mugen window visors, HFP suspension and now the 18" Mugen GP's accompanied with Mugen lugnuts. As you can see, no shortcuts were taken here and Ken plans to further his parts list with more OEM goodness.

The Revival
Finally. Things are falling into place.
Greetings to all who are just tuning in, and welcome to the Spunkyfresh lifestyle. As we can see in the older posts, Mr. Akahoshi has been doing a fantastic job updating what's been happening and it's only going to get better from here on out. Major props to him for that and Kudos to expanding this blog to his affiliates.
What to expect.
Expect no expectations. We know that people like to associate Spunkyfresh directly with the automotive culture but I'd like to make it known to all that it goes way beyond that. Bicycling, fashion, and photography are just some of the other passions which we enjoy. Updates will be posted very soon so bare with us in the meantime.
Thanks for tuning in, and remember to keep it fresh.
